Alyssa Renee Desjardins of Carrollton, Texas, and William Clark Prince of Wilson were married in a 2 p.m. ceremony on July 28 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Wilmington. The Rev. Patrick Keane officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marc Desjardins of Carrollton, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Connie Desjardins and the late Leo Desjardins of New Orleans and the late Fausto and Patsy Fernandez. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Randy Prince of Wilson. He is the grandson of Maria Prince and the late Travis Prince of Wilson and the late James and Josephine Creech.
The bride graduated from Creekview High School in Carrollton, Texas and the University of North Carolina in Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. She is employed as a financial associate at Fidelity Investments.
The groom graduated from Fike High School and the University of North Carolina in Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. He is employed as a quality control chemist at Novartis.
Anna Moss of Franklinton served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Prince of Wilson, sister of the groom, and Theresa Sigurdson of Lake Dallas, Texas, aunt of the bride.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Brian Reneau of Wilson and Luis Renvill of Raeford. Ushers were Dominic Desjardins and Thomas Desjardins, both of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, and Jared Ingram of Frisco, Texas, all cousins of the bride.
Ring bearers were Zach McKenzie, cousin of the groom, of Wilson, and Michael Desjardins, cousin of the bride, of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania.
Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted by the parents of the bride at The Country Club of Landfall.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at Bluewater Waterfront Grill on July 27.
After a wedding trip to Universal Orlando Resort, Orlando, Florida, the couple will reside in Knightdale.
