Reba Barnhill Welfare, 82, of Rocky Mount, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018. A celebration of Reba’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, at Living Faith Fellowship, 1090 W. Mount Dr., Rocky Mount. Interment will follow in The Baptist Cemetery, U.S. 258, Scotland Neck.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
Reba was born January 2, 1936 in Scotland Neck, the daughter of the late James Goodwin and Evelyn Partin Barnhill. She was employed with Eastern Hydraulic for almost 50 years and was an active and devoted member of Living Faith Fellowship. Reba loved Jesus and would share His message with everyone she met through conversation and her cheerful spirit.
Surviving are her children, Edward Watson (Mechelle), Lisa College (John), and Rachel Boyette (Randy); grandchildren, Jennifer, Rebecca, DJ, Buck, Danielle, Kiara and Justice; great-grandchildren, Gretchen, Blair, Brett, Dylan and Jaxon; brother, Jim Barnhill (Anne); many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
