The Wilson Soil and Water Conservation District held its annual awards banquet this week at the Wilson County Agricultural Center. Area students from third through eighth grade received awards for their accomplishments in the annual essay, speech, poster and slide presentation contest. The theme this year was "The Living Soil."  Front row, from left, are Allie Miller, Landen Johnson, Bethany Denton, Lily Wooten, Eva Coleman, Jaxon Howard and Ava Baker.  In the second row are Ross Hinnant, Callie Mooring, Gretchen Daniel, Nicolas May, Alexandria Mccann/Torres, Emma Townsend Satterfield, Kel Winstead and Avery Williams. In the third row are Rachel Ellis, Taylin Burford, Ashton Frazier, Zoe Mitchell, Harper Daniels, Eddie Reel, Siani-Simone Ammons and Damian Farmer.
