More than 725 senior citizens and disabled adults gathered at the Wilson County Fairgrounds on Friday for the 26th annual Senior Awareness Day expo.
Attendees took part in a day of entertainment and food. More than 50 community partners were on hand to offer information, while Wilson Medical Center provided health screenings, educational demonstrations and discussions on wellness topics throughout the day.
“Our staff looks forward to this day every year,” said Glenn Osborne, Wilson County Department of Social Services director. “We are grateful to all the sponsors, the volunteers, Sheriff Calvin Woodard and his staff, and especially to members of the planning committee for their hard work on this year’s event.”
