Wilson County sheriff's Deputy Doss, right, and Cpl. Moore, left, investigate what was initially thought to be a vehicle struck by a bullet while traveling on Interstate 95 through Wilson on Thursday. Norm and Julie Bean of Myrtle Beach, S.C., were south of Raleigh Road Parkway when their back window shattered. "It's pretty frightening. It made an awful noise. Is somebody shooting at us?" Julie Bean said. The back window on the couple's Chevrolet Traverse SUV shattered into the back seat. N.C. Highway Patrol Trooper Dustin Wuebbles said a gunshot did not cause the damage. "It could have been a rock," Wuebbles said. Neither occupant in the vehicle was injured.
