Carrons Funeral Home held a grand opening ceremony Sunday for its new location at 726 Tarboro St. SW. The building formerly housed Hamilton Funeral Chapel. Carrons had been located on the 300 block of Nash Street since 1985. On hand for the festivities were dignitaries including state Rep. Jean Farmer-Butterfield, Wilson Mayor Bruce Rose, Wilson County Sheriff Calvin Woodard, Wilson County Commissioner Sherry Lucas of District 2 and Reginald Speight, district director for U.S. Rep. G.K. Butterfield.
