Recently I had an opportunity to sit with Carlton Stevens and hear from his heart the passion he has for our community. As a local businessman, Carlton has witnessed the effects of substance use and the impact it is having on our citizens. I was impressed with the depth of his understanding of the problems we are facing and the need for a higher level of service to address the issues at hand.

If we are going to see an end to this epidemic that has a stronghold on many of our citizens, we are going to have to come together as one. We must join together as citizens, faith-based community and government working hand in hand. Together, I believe we can turn things, but I believe it’s going to require new leadership with a high level of energy. In my heart, I believe that Carlton has the ability to bring positive change to Wilson, truly making it a better place to live.
