Teachers complete NCCAT training

CULLOWHEE — Two Wilson County educators recently attended professional development programs at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching.

Sonya A. Griffin and Wendy C. Skinner of Rock Ridge Elementary are Wilson County Schools’ latest NCCAT program participants, the center announced in a news release.

NCCAT says it works to provide teachers with knowledge, skills, teaching methods and information to take back to their classroom in order to improve public education by increasing teacher effectiveness.
