Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Brianna Hale, Beddingfield High

Brianna Hale kept her pitching record and that of her Beddingfield High varsity softball team perfect last week, making her this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Brianna, a senior right-handed pitcher, fired a two-hitter and struck out nine batters as the Lady Bruins won 7-2 at Goldsboro on Wednesday. The next day, Brianna went all seven innings again as she struck out 10 batters in a 2-1 victory over Wilson Christian for her and Beddingfield’s fifth win without a loss.

Brianna has a 4.28 weighted GPA and is ranked ninth in her senior class of 180 students. She has taken Advanced Placement and honors courses throughout high school. She is a member of Beddingfield’s Student Government Association, National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society and serves as treasurer for the school’s Future Farmers of America chapter. She has also played tennis and volleyball for the Lady Bruins and was a member of the school’s swim team.

Brianna has served as a volunteer at American Red Cross blood drives and works part-time at Panera Bread in Wilson. She plays travel softball with the Johnston County Clippers.

The daughter of Marsha and Arthur Hale of Black Creek, Brianna hopes to major in either chemistry or chemical engineering in college.
