Brice Murray helped his Wilson Christian Academy varsity boys basketball team end a long losing streak to Bethel Christian of Kinston last week, making him this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Brice, a senior, netted a team-high 17 points to go with five rebounds, four steals and two assists as the Chargers defeated Bethel Christian 66-64, their first win over the Trojans since 2013.
The son of Carla and Tim Murray of Wilson, Brice has a 4.06 GPA at Wilson Christian while taking honors courses. He serves as the treasurer for the school’s chapter of National Honor Society and plays soccer and baseball for the Chargers.
He is active at Gethsemane Independent Baptist Church in Wilson and has worked as a volunteer for the Wilson Whirligig Festival and Sidekicks Mentoring.
Brice works part-time as a golf course attendant for Wilson Country Club and played showcase baseball for 64 East, based on Zebulon.
