Lily Bell helped her Downeast Association of Sports for Homeschoolers (DASH) girls soccer team to a pair of wins last week, making her this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Lily, a senior outside back, was instrumental in the United’s 2-0 defeat of Raleigh Ravenscroft on Thursday and DASH’s 7-0 victory over Eastern Wayne on Saturday at The Brittany XIV. DASH, comprised of homeschool students from Wilson, Nash and Wake counties, is the two-time defending champion of the North Carolinians for Home Education Athletic Commission in girls soccer.
The daughter of Kimberly and Wayne Bell of Holly Springs, Lily has a 4.43 weighted GPA. She is a member of National Homeschool Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars.
She has been a Girl Scout for 12 years and is active at Crossroads Fellowship Church in Raleigh, where she serves as a small group leader for fourth- and fifth-graders.
Lily works part-time as a babysitter and plays travel soccer for Wake Futbol Club. She plans to major in geology and entymology in college.
