SALISBURY — Competing as individuals, three players for the Barton women’s golf team competed in the Patsy Rendelman Women’s Golf Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday.
Senior Nikki Norlin was the top golfer for the Lady Bulldogs, finishing in a tie for 72nd place at 20-over. Grace Greene placed in a tie for 77th with a 23-over. At a 33-over, Taylor Capps rounded out the Barton participation in 86th.
Catawba’s Kaley Barts paced the field with a one-under 143 over two rounds to claim a victory in the tournament. In the team leaderboard, Division II No. 10 team Limestone finished first with a 10-over score of 586. UNC Pembroke finished five strokes behind in second place.
Barton will compete in its final tournament of the fall season at the Jekyll-O-Lantern Invitational, which will be played Oct. 28 and 29 at the Jekyll Island Golf Club.
