WINTERVILLE — The Wilson Prep Academy boys soccer team needed just 35 minutes to notch a 9-0 victory against host Winterville Charter on Monday.

The match was halted once the Tigers’ margin reached nine goals.

Dylan Skinner sparked the winning offense with a hat trick (three goals) and two assists. Evan Gregory knocked in two goals and managed two assists.

Coleton Ellington tallied two goals, while Jerome Thomas and Justin Ellison netted one each. Ellison also doled out two assists.

Christian Bullock combined with Skinner for the shutout in goal.

Lady Chargers clip Christ Covenant

GREENVILLE — The Wilson Christian Academy volleyball team claimed a rematch at Christ Covenant by a 25-14, 25-23 score on Tuesday.

Leading the Lady Chargers were Sophia Nesbit with 10 service points, Faith Bridgers with eight and Allie Smith with eight.

Also drawing praise was setter Isabel Barnes.

WCA’s next scheduled match is Thursday at home against Friendship Christian of Raleigh.
