The Wilson Tobs summer collegiate baseball team will hold its inaugural Public vs. Homeschool Baseball Showdown on Saturday, April 21, with three games in Fleming Stadium.

The participating teams — SouthWest Edgecombe High, Farmville Central High, Wake County Homeschool, Raleigh Homeschool, Southeastern Homeschool of Wilmington and Eastern Christian homeschool of Washington — will donate non-perishable food items in lieu of an entry fee. The food will distributed to 14 local food pantries as part of the Tobs’ sixth annual Home Run for Hunger program.

The action begins Saturday morning at 11 with Eastern Christian homeschool taking on Wake County Homeschool, followed by Farmville Central against Southeastern at 1:30 p.m. and SouthWest Edgecombe versus Raleigh Homeschool at 4:30 p.m.

The admission is $7 for an all-day pass but ticket discounts will apply to those who bring canned food items.
