Tonya Tilton Evans, who died this summer, was honored on her birthday by the Greenfield School family. Evans had cystic fibrosis. Some parents joined together and paid for #teamtonya shirts that were worn by the girls volleyball teams and boys soccer teams during their warmup prior to their games. All middle and upper school students received a shirt and met at the flag pole for a celebration of her memory with students speaking and prayers. Chloe Howard, a seventh-grader who wanted to do this on Evans' birthday, spoke at the event about growing up near Evans and her son, Tilton.
