Re: “Trump operates on mob boss mentality,” by Bob Plesha, Sept. 21:
Apparently, Mr. Plesha is attempting to take over from Nick Smith and Deborah Baro as the grand poobah of the Trump-haters in the Wilson area. Mr. Plesha, someone once said “if you don’t have anything good to say about someone, don’t say anything.”
Further, Winston Churchill said, “If you’re not a liberal by 20, you have no heart. If you aren’t a conservative by 40, you have no brain.”
You commence your diatribe by likening the president to a mob boss and then you speak of honesty and integrity. How dare you! Look at the slime in your own backyard before you move to someone else’s. Look at Slick Willie and all the people who suspiciously died before, during and in the wake of his presidency. Look at Obama; he came into office as a relatively poor person and left after eight years with over $40 million and a $15 million mansion on Cape Cod as well as a mansion in D.C. I would suggest that his salary didn’t provide all that.
He allowed a large portion of our uranium to be sold to the Russians and sent a planeload of cash estimated to be $1.2 billion to be given to Iran. Then he was caught on camera telling Russian President Medvedev that he would have “more flexibility” to deal with contentious issues like missile defense after he’s elected president.
And you have the gall to speak of openness, honesty and integrity.
Our president has achieved the lowest-ever black unemployment, black business startups have skyrocketed by more than 400%, wages have gone up for black workers, prison reforms have been instituted, he has pardoned wrongfully convicted people of color and you dingbats still brand him a racist. You say you’ve become immune and expectant. Sounds more like hateful and brain-dead.
Churchill said, “one man with conviction will overwhelm a hundred who have only opinions.” Why don’t you go after that sleazebag Joe Biden and his son? Get on board, Bob, and back your president and your country. You’ll have another chance in 2020.
