The national indignity is that the Democrats have denigrated the president of the greatest country in the world and cast aspersions on his office, character and competence, even his mental state. What must the worldwide leaders think is going on in the United States? Disparaging his success in the presidency all because he won the election is disgraceful and disrespectful.
Most national leaders consider our president talented and successful in regard to his accomplishments. It is not patronizing to say that “it’s just his style.” His style is part of his appeal. The man was elected from a slate of 16 superior candidates, of which any one could have served well as president. But he is the president. On the world scene, he appears to act with the persona required of the presidency.
William Biddle’s letter (“Trump’s ‘incompetence’ looks a lot like success,” Aug. 5) pointed out the president’s list of successful accomplishments with a touch of satire. Mr. Biddle is a staunch conservative who writes beautifully.
Another recent letter to the editor was a typical rebuttal to the success of President Trump and the inability to give him just credit.
