Two babies. Two continents. Two sets of parents fighting for their parental rights to determine their children’s fates.

One set of parents is fighting for the very survival of their gravely ill child and the other parent for her right to defy biology and thousands of years of human common sense.

Charlie Gard’s parents have been denied the right to attempt to save the life of their extremely ill baby. The heartless and soulless European bureaucrats interested only in preserving their power to treat their subjects like serfs prefer to sacrifice Charlie on the altar of the almighty state.

The second parent, a mustachioed and bearded non-binary individual, wants the Canadian government to issue a birth certificate without designating the sex so the child can chose its own gender identity later.

Both parents are well within their rights to choose for their children their destinies, but only one is morally and intellectually reasonable — Charlie Gard’s. The benighted Canadian is destined to provoke unneeded mental and moral anguish on that person’s offspring in an effort to deny biology and common sense.

We should have pity on both children as victims of misguided liberal attempts to subvert universal norms.
