Wilson saw its forecast wind speeds and rainfall totals decrease with Hurricane Florence's southward shift Wednesday, but Weathercast host Albert Thomas Jr. says that could all change with a slight wobble in the cyclone's path.
Wednesday's projections called for sustained winds in the 30-35 mph range with gusts to 40-45 mph and 5 to 10 inches of rain for greater Wilson County. A day prior, forecasts predicted winds gusting above 50 mph and 10 to 15 inches of rain.
Florence has been evasive, Thomas notes, and it would not take much variance in direction to dramatically change Wilson's weahter.
