Wilson-area golfer Russell Webb carded his eighth career hole-in-one in a round at Willow Springs Country Club on Sunday.
Webb, a Willow Springs member, celebrated the ace on the par-3, 130-yard, No. 12 layout. His 7-iron shot over a small pond landed at the front of the green and the ball bounced into the cup.
Witnessing the one-shot feat were playing partners Jerry Barnes, Billy Clark and Tommy Vick.
The ace was Webb’s second in the last six months and the seventh of his career at Willow Springs.
Hunt records Wedgewood ace
Alexander Hunt used a pitching wedge from 119 yards away to record a hole-in-one on No. 10 at Wedgewood Public Golf Course on Friday.
Witnessing the feat was playing partner Nicky Braswell.
