Utilizing a Texas Scramble format, the Wedgewood Ladies Golf Association held its Member-Guest tournament Wednesday at Wedgewood Public Golf Course.
Awards were handed out in low gross, first low net and second low net across three flights of competition.
In the first flight, Carolyn Jordan-Cathy Wilson prevailed with a score of 67 in low gross. Low net honors went to the team of Shirley Baker-Susan Baker with 53, while Carol Bryant-Liz Winstead were second in low net at 56.
Second flight accolades were accorded to Mary Ann Sutton-Linda Watson in low gross, who authored a round of 72. Cathy Causway-Mary Ann Carver shot a 49 to win first low net in the second flight as Sallie Kearns-Mary Williams were second with 55.
The third flight saw Pat Capps-Sue Fautz claim low gross honors with an 83. Cindy Clayton-Pat Bass fired a 49 to earn first low net honors among third-flight golfers, while Brenda Dickerson-Brenda Blackburn were second at 52.
In the specialty competitions, Williams was closest to the hole on the No. 5 tee. Jamie Denton, Baker and Dickerson were closest on Nos. 7, 10 and 12, respectively.
Winstead was closest to the line on the No. 9 layout. Sutton accomplished the feat on No. 17.
