The N.C. Whirligig Festival is less than three months away, and organizers have opened registration for vendors and sponsors.
“I get calls all year long from businesses and organizations that want to participate in the festival. For several years in a row, we sold out of booth spaces and had to turn folks away,” said Theresa Mathis, festival director. “While that demonstrates how successful the Whirligig Festival has become, we want to grow and include more new vendors.”
In 2018, organizers changed the festival footprint and included a new layout that provided spots for more booths.
“With the new ‘loop’ layout that included the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park, we are happy to now have the space that allows us to expand and bring in even more vendors,” Mathis said.
Applications are being accepted for arts and crafts vendors, commercial booths, nonprofits and downtown merchants. Visit whirligigfestivalnc.org/vendors/home for a digital application, which can be dropped off with payments at the N.C. Whirligig Festival office in Haley’s Dress Shop at 120 Goldsboro St. S. or mailed to N.C. Whirligig Festival, P.O. Box 2124 Wilson NC 27894.
The website will be redesigned in September, and steps are underway to accept payments online.
