Wilkinson, Brewer claim WCC titles

Patch Wilkinson and Priscilla Brewer added to their county laurels with home-course supremacy recently in the annual Women’s Club Championship at Wilson Country Club.

Wilkinson reclaimed the Open crown with rounds of 82-81—163 over the par-72 WCC layout. Wilkinson succeed Lisa Matthews as the title-holder.

Brewer reigns as the Seniors champion after posting rounds of 95-100—195.

At Wedgewood Public Golf Course in early September, Wilkinson repeated as the Wilson County Amateur Women’s winner, while Brewer captured her first county Women’s Seniors title.

In the WCC event, Beth Rhyne won low net in the Open division at 79-76—155, while Katherine Rea ruled among the Seniors participants with an effort of 91-78—169.

 

Ladies Fall Invite results

The tandems of Patch Wilkinson-Beth Rhyne and Melba Martin-Pat Smiley claimed top honors in the recent Ladies’ Fall Member Invitational at Wilson Country Club.

Wilkinson-Rhyne seized low gross with an 81, while Martin-Smiley won low net with a 63.

With the theme of “Rock the Tailgate,” the format was best-ball gross and best-ball net of the participating twosomes.
