Morgan Blair Blackman and Griffin Hayes Williford, both of Wilson, were married June 9 in a 6 p.m. ceremony at the Williford Farm in Black Creek. The Rev. Curtis Campbell and the Rev. William Presnell officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Hunter Matthews Blackman and Laura Weaver Blackman of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Kathryn Valentine Morgan and the late William Morgan, the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Weaver of Lewiston, Noble Granger Blackman III of Wilson and the late Jean S. Blackman. She graduated from Ralph L. Fike High School and Barton College and is employed as a paralegal at Narron and Holdford, P.A.

Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Christopher Williford of Wilson. He is the grandson of Barbara C. Griffin and the late Joseph Carroll Griffin of Farmville and Peggy Williford of Wilson and the late C. Buren Williford. He graduated from Ralph L. Fike High School and the University of Mississippi and North Carolina State University. He is employed as an assistant project manager at Frank L. Blum Construction Company.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a romantic and vintage-inspired, allover-lace fit-and-flare gown fashioned with an illusion plunging neckline and scalloped edging. The double-keyhole back was finished with covered buttons. She carried flowers designed by Bill Hamilton. To complement her attire, she wore a one-tier fingertip veil styled with a cut edge to the shoulders and unbeaded scalloped Alencon lace around the curve of the veil.

Rebecca Anne Sale of East Hampton, New York, served as maid of honor. Morgan Kirk Barnes of Raleigh was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Anne-Burton Robinson of Wilmington, Anna Marie Baggett of Wilson, Alice Louis Sara McDonald of Raleigh and Sydney Williford Wilkinson, sister of the groom, of Wilson. Junior bridesmaid was Kathryn Virginia Satterfield of Greenville. Flower girls were Darden Langley O’Dea of Raleigh and Karleigh Noel Snyder of Wilson.

The attendants wore wrap halter gowns designed with a ruched bodice featuring a diamond cut-out open back and soft gathers around the A-line skirt.

The groom’s father served as best man.

Groomsmen were Seth Taylor Williford of Winston-Salem, brother of the groom; Thomas Melvin Spencer IV of Morehead City; Joshua Scott Cannon of Walstonburg; William Tucker Brown of Wilson; Griffin Harrell Benton of Wilson; and Hunter Burrell Stokely of Wilson. Ushers were Dustin William Wilkinson of Wilson and Augustus Lloyd Copeland McClain of Raleigh. Junior groomsman was William Thomas Satterfield of Greenville. Ring bearers were Jack Thomas Spencer of Morehead City and Cooper Alan Smith of Wilson.

Register attendant was Caroline Barksdale Spencer. Program attendant was Caty Matthews Whitehurst. Director was Meagan Graddy of Magnolia Grove Weddings

Wedding music was provided by violinist Udeshi Hargett and soloist Zaddock Williford.

A reception at the Williford Farm followed the ceremony. Hosts were the bride and groom’s parents.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents were hosts for a rehearsal dinner at Williford Farm.

After a wedding trip to Belize, the couple will reside in Wilson.
