A Wilson County man has been identified as the victim of a Sunday shooting across the Nash County line on London Church Road.

Nash County deputies say 27-year-old Marquise Raheem Norfleet Anderson of Akron Road south of Wilson died as a result of a gunshot wound, according to preliminary autopsy results.

The Nash County Sheriff’s Office responded around 2 a.m. Sunday after shots were fired at a home on the 9000 block of London Church Road, which is located in Nash County but has an Elm City address.

Deputies said when they arrived, they were met by a large crowd outside the home, where Anderson was found.

Nash County EMS medics brought Anderson to Nash UNC Health Care in Rocky Mount, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made in the case. Officials said Tuesday that Nash County detectives are still investigating Anderson’s homicide.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Nash County Sheriff’s Office at 252-459-4121 or Twin County Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111.
