Darius Richardson of Rocky Mount won a $542,354 Cash 5 jackpot after purchasing a Quick Pick ticket June 1 at the Rose Mart on North Nash Street in Wilson.

His ticket beat odds of 1 in 749,398 to win the drawing, according to a news release from the N.C. Education Lottery.

Richardson claimed the prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $382,365.
