Alice Bray Langford of Richmond, Virginia, celebrated her 105th birthday with family.
She was born on Nov. 19, 1914, in Greenville, South Carolina.
Langford went to school in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. Her family traveled for work.
She graduated from high school in 1933 and was married in December 1933 to Heard E. Langford. They were married in the pastor’s study in Greenwood, South Carolina.
Her special interests include reading and teaching Sunday school. She taught for more than 50 years. She is a Baptist and sang in a small country church in Georgia.
She has three children, Jerry Langford of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Anne Barden of Richmond, Virginia, and Martha Proffitt of Wilson; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Currently there are five living generations.
