A.C. Jenkins, 80, of Wilson, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family. A private burial was held on Sunday, July 5, with the Rev. Donnie Williams officiating.

A.C. was a licensed plumber and worked for Thompson Plumbing for 32 years. After his retirement, he spent most of his time with his wife, Linda, their boys, his daughters-in-law and one granddaughter who was the apple of his eye. A.C. enjoyed fishing and NASCAR racing.

A.C. is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Linda Winstead Jenkins, who always referred to A.C. as her “Love Muffin;” two sons and daughters-in-law, Jay Calvin and JoAnne and David Gerald “Jerry” and Allyn; one granddaughter, Brittany and Catherine; one great-granddaughter, Georgia-Moon, who loved to play with Papa; two sisters, Janice Glover and Brenda Harrell; and one brother, Wade Jenkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Virginia Jenkins; a sister, Elizabeth Webb; and a brother, William Jenkins.
