Mrs. Connie Barnes Myles, 91, of Wilson, passed Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019.

Born in Wilson County on Aug. 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Mrs. Nannie P. Barnes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Myles Sr.; and her daughter, Mrs. Joan Barnes Rawlings.

Connie leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving sons, James Myles Jr. and Frederick “Ricky” Myles Sr.; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; two grandchildren whom she raised, Tracie B. Lindsey and Connie Myles-Flowers; three grandchildren whom she assisted in raising, Dr. Tabatha Rawlings-McDowell, Cathleen Rawlings-Moye and Joseph Bernard Rawlings; and one daughter-in-heart, Willie Mae Myles; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at St. James Christian Church, 1739 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, Wilson. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Carrons Funeral Home, 726 S. Tarboro St.
