Senior Lindsey Curlings helped her Fike High varsity volleyball team get off to a winning start Monday, making her this week’s Farris & Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Lindsey, a senior libero, rang up six digs and served six straight points in the third and final set of the Lady Demons’ sweep of Southern Nash at Fike.
The daughter of Lisa and Mike Curlings of Elm City, Lindsey has a 3.6 GPA at Fike, where she takes honors pre-calculus this semester. She also takes three online courses through Wilson Community College. Lindsey also plays basketball and softball for the Lady Demons. She was an All-Big East Conference selection in softball as a sophomore in 2019.
She did an internship at Wilson Medical Center earlier this year.
Lindsey plays travel softball for the Wilson Extreme and has verbally committed to play softball at Pitt Community College. She plans to major in biology and hopes to be a physician assistant.
