The Wilson Community College Foundation will hold its Wilson Community College Scholarship Invitational Golf Tournament at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Wedgewood Golf Course, 3201 Stantonsburg Road.

There are several ways golfers can contribute, either by competing on a team or sponsoring the tournament. Donations help WCC students in need.

Check-in and registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be available at noon. Teams will tee off at 1 p.m.

According to Jessica Bailey, the college’s director of institutional advancement, 17 teams have already registered. Cost for a four-person team is $300.

Those wishing to register a team can email Bailey at jbailey@wilsoncc.edu or call her at 252-246-1271.

Teams have the option of purchasing mulligans and a tee buster for $80. There will also be two Bridgestone golf bags raffled off

The event sponsor is Linamar. Platinum sponsors include BB&T, Johnson Machinery, Southern Bank, Watson Electrical and Wilson Medical Center. Gold sponsor is Smith & Smith Insurance. Silver sponsors include Bridgestone and Greenlight.

“We are so thankful to all the generous sponsors who already helped make this event a success,” Bailey said.
