This update includes information for parents from Wilson County Public Schools to ensure their children stay academically sound.

More than ever, we as parents have to ensure that our children stay on top of their academic game.

The ball is in our court now, don’t miss the open shot.

GENERAL UPDATE

As of April 7, Wilson County has reported 38 positive cases of COVID-19 and 13 cases that have recovered.

Social distancing and staying home are our first line of defense.

KEEPING UP WITH SCHOOL WORK

Wilson County Schools has compiled a small list of resources parents and students can use at home during this school closure event.

It is important to keep our students on an educational schedule at least through the official end of the school year.

Also, we must keep their minds engaged during the summer.

More than ever before, we must do our part to ensure our kids success during this time.

STUDENT MEALS

Under guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the NC Department of Public Instruction’s Child Nutrition section, Wilson County Schools will be serving breakfast and lunch meals (meat, grain, fruit, vegetable, milk) to all students ages 1-18 at no cost. Breakfast (grain, fruit/vegetable, milk) for the following day will be sent with the lunch meal.

The following school sites will be open to serve students from noon-1:30 p.m., Monday-Friday with curbside pickup via drive or walk up:
