Davender was transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville for treatment, police said.

Stroud said after an investigation, police determined that 22-year-old Taviyas J. Holden of Wilson was the suspect in the case. A warrant was obtained on Holden for attempted murder, Stroud said.
