Miriam Howard Landing, 87, of Wilson, passed away Thursday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Ken Wagnon will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1 - 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, and other times at the home of her daughter, Gail Garris.
Miriam is survived by her daughters, Jackie Bass of Elm City and Gail Garris and husband, Danny, of Wilson; granddaughters, Amie Whitehead and husband, Will, of Wilson and Tracy McKeel and husband, Jarrod, of Walstonburg; grandsons, Mitch Bass and wife, Kim, of Elm City and Jason Bass and wife, Jan, of Kentucky; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mamie Ruth Overby of Elm City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Landing; sister, Jean Whitley; and her brother, Melvin Howard.
