KENLY — Phyllis Raper Monteith, 59, passed away suddenly at her home.
Phyllis was born in Wilson County on April 9, 1960, to the late Arthur and Lucille Barnes Raper. She was married to the late George Thomas Monteith. Phyllis had worked with Anchor Coupling in Goldsboro.
The family will greet friends from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Kenly Funeral Service followed by a service to celebrate Phyllis’ life at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will be in the Bennett Barnes Cemetery.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Donna Kiewert, and husband Marc of Fremont; son, Greg Monteith of Goldsboro; granddaughter, Kasey Heath; special friend, Tim Webb; brothers, John (J.W.) Raper and wife Linda, Kenneth Raper, Edward (Shorty) Raper, Steve Raper and Van Raper (Cheryl); and sisters, Lottie Raper and Deborah Lawson and husband Bill.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Geoff Monteith, and brothers, David Raper and Timmie Raper.
