Police say a pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Friday on Nash Street.

Officers responded around 8:40 p.m. to the intersection of Nash Street and Atlantic Christian College Drive regarding a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian.

Police identified the victim as 33-year-old Charles R. Page of Wilson, who was injured after being struck by a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Robert B. Hendricks Jr. of Nashville, according to Sgt. Steve Stroud.

Stroud said the initial investigation determined that Hendricks was driving on Nash Street while Page was crossing the street.

Page was taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville for treatment and later died from his injuries, police said.

The Wilson Police Department’s Strategic Traffic Enforcement Team is currently investigating the incident.

Police ask anyone with information to call the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
