Heather Nicole Prince of Elm City and Brian Christopher Reneau of Wilson were married in a 2 p.m. small, private ceremony on June 20 at Grace Baptist Church of Wilson. The Rev. Steve Strickland officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Randy and Jennifer Prince of Elm City. She is the granddaughter of Maria Prince and the late Travis Prince of Wilson and the late James and Josephine Creech of Wilson. She graduated from Fike High School and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in elementary education. She is employed with Wilson County Schools as a kindergarten teacher at Rock Ridge Elementary School.

Parents of the groom are Dan and Mary Reneau of Wilson. He is the grandson of Marilyn and Steve Freas of Newark, Ohio, and the late Thomas Dale Smart, and Jim and Diana Reneau of Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Fike High School and Barton College with a degree in business management. He is employed as production manager at Servpro of Wilson and Nashville.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory mermaid gown fashioned with a modern, yet soft, beaded embellished bodice, sweetheart neckline and a ruffled chiffon organza skirt with a long chapel train. She wore a cathedral veil of French tulle with beaded trim. For her bouquet she carried pink Mondial roses, white sweetheart roses, blue hydrangea, dusty miller, wax flower and silver dollar eucalyptus.

Megan Long of Tobaccoville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alyssa Prince of Zebulon, sister-in-law of the bride, and Nicole Alligood of Greenville. They wore long ice blue gowns fashioned with a sleeveless tank, pleated bodice and a feminine V-neckline featuring a swooping cowl back detail. They each carried a bouquet of white Mondial roses, sweetheart roses, hydrangea, wax flower and silver dollar eucalyptus.

Flower girl was Charlotte Sophia Hux of Tarboro.

The groom’s father served as best man.

Groomsmen were William Prince of Zebulon, brother of the bride; Kyle Gaster of Jacksonville, Florida; and Zach McKenzie of Elm City, cousin of the bride.

Ring bearer was Ben Winbourne of Wilson, cousin of the bride.

Register attendant was Katherine Spencer.

Program attendant was Mary Katherine Prince.

Director was Holly Strickland.

Wedding music was provided by Jamie Caudle, vocalist; Betsy Best, pianist; and Ruth Ann Horton, organist.

Sound and livestream was provided by Sam Hefner.

Following the ceremony, a cake-cutting for the immediate family was held at the home of the bride’s parents. A reception will be held at a later date.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at Something Different on the eve of the wedding.

A bridal brunch was held June 19 at The Leaning Tree in Bailey and was hosted by aunts of the bride, Kathy Prince, Debra Creech and Sandra Creech.

A honeymoon has been postponed to a later date. They took a “mini-moon” at Lake Lure. The couple will reside in Wilson.

Pre-nuptials

May 30: A bridal Shower was hosted by William and Alyssa Prince, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, at their home in Zebulon.
