Wilson Arts will continue the tradition of its annual Holiday Invitational & Pop-Up Gift Shop this season. The general public can shop from Nov. 14 to Dec. 23.
The event will kick off with a two-day hosts-only preview party, with two two-hour time slots each day for attendees to choose from to help comply with social distancing mandates. During the preview party events, attendees will enter through the side door of the Boykin Center into the welcome area in the theater, where there will be a warm holiday atmosphere, a signature cocktail, a professional photographer on hand with a photo backdrop ready to capture this cherished holiday memory, and a deluxe swag bag full of surprises from downtown merchants.
One lucky host will be extra surprised to find a giftbox from Vaughan’s Jewelers.
After enjoying a little socially-distanced camaraderie with friends, participants will be escorted into the Hammond Gallery where the holiday pop-up shop will be waiting to unveil all of this year’s one-of-a-kind gift items for your shopping pleasure.
Attendees will also be offered a “sleigh ride” to the new Nash Street location of the Wilson Arts Center (currently under construction) for a tour of the facility by Executive Director Cathy Hardison. Due to limited space in each time slot, those who wish to attend the preview party must register to become hosts and submit their $100 host contribution as soon as possible. Information on how to register as a host may be found on the Wilson Arts website at www.wilsonarts/com/exhibitions/.
