Wilson Arts and PoochieSaidIt have collaborated to bring Wilson and beyond “The Virtual Comedy Jam” on Friday, Nov. 13, at 8:30 p.m. This will be an online livestream event featuring clean comedy for the whole family that can be enjoyed from the comfort of home or anywhere.

This lighthearted event welcomes headlining comedian T. Ray Sanders to the stage and also features Marshone Sauls and Jake Weddle. Wilson’s own Poochie Hammonds will co-host the evening alongside Artsy Musa.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.wilsonarts.com/tickets through the ShowTix4U platform.

HEADLINER IS COMEDIAN T RAY SANDERS

T. Ray Sanders, born and raised in High Point, said he has always known he was anything but average. Childhood memories include singing in the church choir and giving the graduation speech for his fifth grade class. He was chosen for both due to his extremely loud voice, which caused him to stand out in any crowd. Sanders performed his first comedy act his senior year of high school, marking the beginning of his love for the stage, where he has become known, again, for his loud voice. He travels the country performing at various venues and comedy clubs and is a requested comedian in the game. He has a pep rally style of comedy that entertains audiences and keeps them amused, while also sending out a message of motivation.

OTHERS IN THE SHOW

Marshone Sauls is a fun guy to be around and is one of Wilson’s own. He has always enjoyed making people laugh and is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Opening act Jake Weddle has been performing stand-up comedy since the age of 14 in Raleigh. While he mostly performs stand-up comedy, Weddle has dabbled in sketch comedy and also performs improv comedy monthly with Swish Improv. Weddle has made it to the finals of “NC’s Funniest” twice, won “Greenville’s Funniest” twice and made it to the top 10 of the Idiot Box’s “Ultimate Comics Challenge.” In his eight years of stand-up comedy, he has performed at countless theaters, comedy venues, college campuses, festivals and conventions.

The guest host for this virtual comedy event is also a featured host at Goodnights Comedy Club in Raleigh. He is in the process of preparing for his first national tour.

Co-host Poochie Hammonds is the owner and operator of PoochieSaidIt and is a comedian himself. He has performed with comedy greats including Bruce Bruce, Mike Epps, J. Anthony Brown, Country Wayne and Ricky Smiley. Additionally, he has also promoted gospel shows with “Sunday Best’s” Le Andria Johnson, JaKaylen Carr and other top R&B artists.
