Moderately cold temperatures with little day-to-day variation is expected in The Wilson Times area this week.

There is a very slight chance of light rain overnight Wednesday with an increased probability by the weekend.

High temperatures Tuesday will hold in the low 50s. Wednesday and Thursday will see a struggle to get to the 50-degree mark with much of the northern half of the area staying in the upper 40s. Friday's high ticks back into the low 50s.

Overnight Tuesday and Thursday lows should dip to just below freezing, particularly in the Nashville to Spring Hope to Zebulon areas, while overnight Wednesday stays above freezing between 33 and 34.

The forecast for late Friday through Saturday is muddled by wide variations in the different models. None of them, however, at least so far, show any chance for frozen precipitation east of the mountains.
