Featured artists are Andrea Horton-Morton, Ariel Daron, Carola Jones, Chris Woodard, Clara Daughtridge, Crystal Hamilton, Deborah Schott, Jane Gardner, Kim Joy, Kim Valentine, Laura Felton, Nancy Vasilchik, Otto Baron, Shelley Sakas and Susan Webb.
Wilson Active Artist Association has been holding annual shows since the group formed more than 50 years ago.
“The Wilson Active Artists Association showcases the art of local artists whose foremost goal is to inspire, provoke passion, and contemplation by those who view their works,” said Susan Webb.
Kim S. Joy, group president, added, “I have noticed that many of the artists are instructors also, teaching community members as well as fellow artists, giving people the chance to explore their artistic abilities as well as helping artists try different mediums and grow in their own artistic talent.”
This show is designed to demonstrate to the Wilson community that art is for everyone.
“WAAA members have diverse backgrounds and educational experiences, but our commitment to fostering creativity binds us together,” said Carola Jones, also an artist.
